The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Development Program is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to fast-track their career towards a Store Management role in just 18-24 months. Our promote-from-within philosophy means that upon successful completion of the initial 6-8 week training, you can transition into an Assistant Store Manager position.
This position typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, including potential evening and weekend shifts.
Throughout the program, you will work closely with store management to oversee a million-dollar business, contributing to its success through effective leadership and strategic planning. You will gain valuable experience in sales to large commercial users, including painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers who rely on our high-quality products.

Responsibilities Include: - Completing program training and applying skills to support business strategies aimed at increasing sales and optimizing profitability.
- Providing excellent customer service to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Gaining comprehensive knowledge of all our products to make effective customer recommendations.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
- Managing store operations, including administration and compliance with policies.
- Maintaining outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising standards.
- Participating in employee training, development, and performance management.
- Addressing and resolving customer and employee inquiries or complaints.
- Collaborating with the Store Manager on outside sales initiatives to enhance market presence.
Qualifications: - Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work without needing sponsorship.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must hold a bachelor's degree by the beginning of this program.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications: - At least one year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- At least one year of experience in leadership roles or supervising teams.
- Experience working in team-oriented environments through work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
- Prior experience selling paint or related products is a plus.
- Familiarity with timekeeping or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
- Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language, especially Spanish.
