The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Development Program is an exciting, accelerated entry-level opportunity designed to prepare you for a future Store Management role within 18-24 months. With our strong promote-from-within philosophy, you will have the chance to advance into an Assistant Store Manager position upon successfully completing the initial 6-8-week training program.
In this role, expect to work approximately 44 hours a week, including evenings and weekends. You will work closely with store management to oversee a million-dollar business, gaining invaluable experience in leadership and strategy development. Through this program, you will master operations, client management, and internal strategy, empowering you to make a significant impact on your team's success.
As part of your training, you will focus on growing our market share by targeting large commercial users, including painting contractors and purchasing managers, who require substantial volumes of our high-quality products.

Responsibilities Include: - Completing training in line with established programs.
- Implementing business strategies to enhance sales and optimize profitability.
- Ensuring high customer satisfaction through exemplary service.
- Building and maintaining extensive product knowledge for effective customer recommendations.
- Establishing positive relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
- Managing store administration efficiently.
- Ensuring adherence to company policies, including safety, loss prevention, and security protocols.
- Maintaining outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising standards.
- Supporting training, development, and performance management of employees.
- Addressing and resolving customer and employee complaints.
- Partnering with the Store Manager on outside sales calls to increase market share.
Minimum Requirements: - Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work without requiring sponsorship.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
- Must hold a bachelor's degree by the start of the program.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications: - At least one (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- Leadership experience with supervision or team-leading roles.
- Experience in team-oriented environments through work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
- Prior work experience selling paint and related products.
- Familiarity with timekeeping and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future career opportunities.
- Proficiency in more than one language is a plus, especially in Spanish.
