The Sherwin-Williams Management and Sales Training Program is an exciting entry-level opportunity designed to equip you for a Store Management role in just 18-24 months. With our strong promote-from-within ethos, you can advance to an Assistant Store Manager position after completing the initial 8-week training.
This role typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and weekends.
During the program, you will work closely with store management to oversee a million-dollar business, contributing leadership and strategic insights that are vital to the store's success. You will gain in-depth knowledge of operations, clients, and internal strategies while playing an essential role in increasing market share through sales to substantial commercial users including painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities: - Complete training as per established program guidelines.
- Support strategic business objectives to increase sales and enhance profitability.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service.
- Develop product knowledge to provide effective customer recommendations.
- Build and nurture positive relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
- Manage store administration and operational compliance.
- Ensure adherence to safety, loss prevention, and security policies.
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
- Support employee training, performance management, and corrective actions.
- Respond to and resolve customer and employee complaints promptly.
- Collaborate with Store Manager to make outside sales calls for market share growth.
Minimum Requirements: - Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
- Must hold at least a bachelor's degree by the program's start date.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications: - At least one (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- At least one (1) year in a leadership role or experience supervising others.
- Previous teamwork experience including work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
- Experience in selling paint or related products is a plus.
- Familiarity with timekeeping or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
- Ability to communicate fluently in more than one language, including Spanish.
