JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Under direct supervision, assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill. Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:

• Keeps a worker supplied with materials and tools

• Cleans the work area and the tools and equipment being used

• Uses hand trucks, carts or related apparatus to move or transport parts, equipment or materials

• Gathers and holds materials and tools being used by more skilled or journeyman employees

• May individually perform certain machine operations or parts of a maintenance task under supervision

• Performs other maintenance helper related duties as directed

• The incumbent will perform in a shop or fieldwork site environment in which mechanical equipment operated is loud, and some pieces of equipment have exposed moving components. It requires routine lifting up to (50) pounds (anything heavier requires two people or mechanical assistance), regular handling, grasping, kneeling, and carrying, and constant use of vision and mental alertness is required.

• This position may require travel. RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION The incumbent has knowledge and understanding of the use of hand tools, battery powered hand tools, and shop machinery. Displays a familiarity of the trades associated with site support, mechanical, electrical, carpentry and/or plumbing. Can perform standard physical labor and follow basic instruction as directed by higher-level maintenance workers as required. Incumbent may be required to perform various duties, at the maintenance trades helper worker level, such as but not limited to; escorting of non-cleared contractors, minor renovations, general upkeep, ceiling tile replacement, light bulb changes, painting and related duties as assigned or requested. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE An incumbent must possess one year experience supporting a variety of maintenance trades performing work under close supervision. Must be capable of using hand tools in a safe manner. In addition, a Maintenance Trades Helper must also possess the following qualifications:

• Must have sufficient communication skills to understand and respond to work direction.

• Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.

• Must be a U.S. citizen. SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $38,833 to $48,547 annually. Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay.
