Job overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the technical support of the production in the Swedesboro plant. Responsible for following food safety, quality, government regulations, and SQF Guidelines and reporting deviations to key authorized personnel. This position is for 1st shift.
Leadership tasks:
Maintenance / Trouble Shooting
- Periodic review of the state of the machine (inspection) and completion of maintenance work list Navision
- Performing maintenance according to the maintenance schedule and note necessary changes
- Determination of the need for replacement parts and written request
- Provision of new service points together with assistant technical supervisor
- Posting of work reports in Navision
- Identify and correct verification of faults in compliance with the safety precautions
- Responsible for planning and execution of extraordinary maintenance, improvements, training and repair of dosing equipment in addition to the regular performed maintenance tasks on the equipment
- Responsible for maintenance and improvements.
Process optimization and enrollment
- Training of Operators to operate the machine
- Creation of setting instructions and updating
- Proposal and implementation of technical improvements and optimization of conversions
- Implementation of retrofits for the next production and their verification with execution by the line staff
- Training of employees on the line with respect to machine operation and set up
Performing tests
- Conduct regular inspections prescribed by law (boiler, scales, etc.)
- Implementation of package testing and reporting of results
- Execution of test film density determination during the process and documenting the results
- Participation in installation and commissioning of plant and machinery
Additional
- Cleanliness and order in his area according to the FM 07:05:09 cleaning and disinfection plan General concerning technicians and proper separation of waste according to waste management rules
- Cleaning star keeper and responsible for cleanness own tool box, shop, mechanical room, spare part storage and all other technical rooms
- Compliance with the requirements of hygiene HACCP VA08.07.01 , Allergen VA08.07.03 , glass and knives management VA 08.07.02/ AA07.05.15
- Compliance with security policies AA 5:02 hygiene regulations, internal policies and AA05.03 emergency and evacuation plan
- Identification of hazards, implementation of safety measures and compliance OSHA regulations
- Compliance with workshop safety regulations
- The job holder might be assigned to other tasks and duties needed and if necessary
Skills:
- Basic Electrical knowledge
- Basic VFD/PLC knowledge
