Tech 2, Equipment Maintenance Compensation
- The pay for this position is $21.50 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Tech 2, Equipment Maintenance Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is 3rd Shift, 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday
Tech 2, Equipment Maintenance Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain departmental production equipment
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs during machine breakdowns
- Perform equipment set-ups and changeovers as required
- Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control checks
- Use tools such as feeler gauges to measure tolerances and ensure optimal performance
- Maintain accurate production and downtime records
- Follow safety and environmental procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Monitor component inventory and support material handling needs
- Assist with upstream/downstream operations and rework as necessary
- Collaborate in a team-oriented, continuous improvement environment
Tech 2, Equipment Maintenance Requirements
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs
- Proficient in using tools to measure tolerances, torque, and clearances
- Familiarity with cams, cam-followers, bushings, chain drives, gear-boxes, pneumatic systems, vacuum systems, and valves
- Experience reading mechanical blueprints
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
- Must pass an eye exam (20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses and/or a color vision exam)
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in automotive, boat engine repair, HVAC, machinist work, or low voltage electronics
- Experience in high-speed manufacturing environments
