A bit about us:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Shippensburg. We are a food production manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems, including belts, conveyors, drags, and other related equipment. This is a full time, 1st shift role and with an hourly rate around $28-32 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems, including belts, conveyors, drags, and other related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, providing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade mechanical systems and components as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and departments to address mechanical maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of mechanical supplies and spare parts.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems.

Job Details

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in mechanical maintenance.
