High Level Statement of the Role:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and maintenance systems.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Keep work place and equipment clean and well organized
Perform proper preventive maintenance on all plant support systems and equipment
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
Preform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments (if performing these tasks runs into break and/or lunch schedules, allowable repair time until break is taken is 90 minutes)
Use a variety of hand power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
Assure the set up meets or exceeds all safety requirements.

Ability to be flexible during the shift and during on call situations (i.e. extending maintenance time to repair; breaks and lunch may be at unscheduled time. On call situations as needed after shift is complete)

Licensed in scissor lift, boom lift and both sit down and stand up forklift operations
Trained in electrical safe work practices

Long periods of walking, standing, kneeling, squatting, crawling on concreate and uneven surfaces
Ability to effectively work from heights and confined spaces
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds individually and 100 pounds in a team lift environment
Ability to reach over head for long periods of time
Qualifications:
2 years of previous industrial maintenance experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and some PLC experience.
Able to write legibly
Able to read and comprehend required documents.
Able to accomplish required math
Minimum of 4 weeks on the job training
