Title: Maintenance Technician Possibility for Part Time or Full Time
Reports to: Facilities Manager
Job Goal: The Maintenance Technician fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by maintaining a neat, clean, safe, and organized environment. The Maintenance Technician assists the administration, faculty, and staff by ensuring that the school is well maintained and in good repair for its educational purpose. The Maintenance Technician has decision making responsibilities within essential job functions, in keeping with school policies.

Performance Responsibilities:
Conducts repairs on the premises, including moderate level HVAC repairs as needed
Sets up for meetings and student assemblies within the building as needed
Applies universal precautions in cleaning practices
Conducts cleaning and disinfecting as needed
Conducts emergency clean ups and repairs as needed
Maintains the grounds and outdoor equipment
Maintains inventory and upkeep of facility equipment
Conducts periodic maintenance activities of safety equipment, filters, and lighting as needed
Collaborates with other Maintenance Personnel
Collaborates with others to enhance the work environment
Assists with other outside contractors as needed
Communicates maintenance and repair issues to the Facilities Manager
Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters e Respond seriously, confidently, and confidentially to reports of suspicious and Inappropriate behavior
Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Diocese

Job Qualifications:
Ability to work independently using organizational systems and techniques
Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
Required to work in standard school conditions and various climate conditions
Required to work according to assigned schedule
Required to lift or carry furniture, equipment, and supplies e Understand and abide by the Archdiocese of Detroit contract for employment and the specifications it contains regarding the expectations of a Catholic school employee.

Physical Demands:
Required to lift or carry furniture, equipment, and supplies up to 50 lbs
Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, and pull daily.
Education and Experience: Must have high school diploma or GE
