LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our client in Niles, IL. This full-time direct hire opportunity is fully onsite.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility systems, troubleshooting machinery, and partnering with other teams to ensure work is performed timely and safely.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with strong problem-solving skills. The hours for this role are 11pm -7am.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair production equipment and facility systems, including highly automated PLC-controlled assembly lines, hydraulic presses, and kitting operations
Work with Manfacturing Engineers to ensure work is performed timely and safely
Plan and implement safety improvements
Troubleshoot machinery and perform preventive maintenance
Keep records of maintenance and notify supervisors of defective equipment
Ensure compliance and quality standards are met
Qualifications:
High school diploma required
1-2 years of experience in a maintenance role
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to read schematics for pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic equipment
Experience with Fanuc or collaborative robots
Familiarity with electrical systems ranging from 24V DC to 480V AC
Willingness to learn new skills
