Do you have experience working in manufacturing environment in a Maintenance Technician role and are looking for a more dynamic company to work for? If so, my client located in Middlebury, IN is looking to add a Full-Time 1st Shift Maintenance Technician to their fast-growing team.
Full benefits, 401k match, 3 weeks vacation.
What you are doing as a Maintenance Technician:
- Troubleshoot and maintain engines, conveyors, electrical systems, pneumatic tools and hydraulic equipment.
- Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.
- Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
- Work with facility Supervisor to continually update the production process and system software.
- Safely operate power tools, hoists and hand tools.
- Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers and specifications.
- Maintain parts and tools inventory.
- Will also be asked to perform some building and grounds maintenance, including mowing, snow removal, replacing lights, adding or removing racking systems, and more.
What you need to become a Maintenance Technician:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Maintenance Technician role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented and high organization skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Self-Motivated and independent.
- Ability to work hours and overtime as assigned
