Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the physical aspects of one or more commercial properties are maintained in a safe, efficient, and functional condition. This role involves hands-on work in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general building repairs, and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, self-motivated professional with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections of building systems and facilities to ensure proper operation and safety.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems.
Respond to service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.
Perform general repairs including painting, drywall, door hardware, locks, and other building fixtures.
Assist with vendor coordination and oversight during scheduled maintenance or repair projects.
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local building codes.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and report status to the Property Manager.
Support seasonal and emergency maintenance tasks, including snow removal or storm preparation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
3+ years of experience in commercial property maintenance or a related field.
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Basic proficiency with mobile work order systems or CMMS software.
