Maintenance Tech

Schedule: 1st Shift (1x Sunday to Thursday and 1x Tuesday to Saturday)
Duration: 18-Month Contract
Pay: $27-32
Position Summary
Our medical device client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks involving multiple technical disciplines. This role ensures the ongoing functionality, safety, and reliability of facility equipment and infrastructure through routine inspections, troubleshooting, and hands-on repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic inspections and perform repairs or replacements of mechanical and electrical equipment using both hand and power tools.
- Execute routine preventive maintenance to optimize equipment performance and maintain building integrity.
- Operate a variety of tools including hammers, drills, hoists, wrenches, and precision instruments.
- Perform maintenance actions such as checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and inspecting belts and motors in accordance with established checklists.
- Install, assemble, and repair electrical wiring, plumbing systems, machinery, and facility components.
- Dismantle equipment and machinery using hoists and tools to access and replace defective parts.
- Record maintenance activities, including work performed and associated costs.
- Clean and lubricate machine components to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
- Diagnose malfunctions by testing equipment and reviewing performance data.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Practical understanding of mechanical systems and tools, including installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with production processes, quality control standards, and GMP/GDP/FDA compliance.
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles and their application in a manufacturing environment.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a cleanroom or regulated environment.
