Job Description Summary: We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of a building in repair. Critical Job Functions: Perform diagnostic tests for routine maintenance procedures. Determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems. Perform facilities maintenance. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges. Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices. Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery. Estimate costs to repair machinery, equipment, or building structures. Job Requirements: High school or equivalent (Required). Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Required). Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures. Basic electrical diagnosis and repair. Basic Plumbing knowledge. Floor and wall repair. Foundation brake system diagnosis and repair. Door repair - both roll and swing doors. Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise. May be required to drive service van to off-site locations and perform work. Exposure to climate conditions of the geographic area. Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases, paints or other irritants. Hours may vary due to operational need.
