Role Description
We are looking to hire two people: one Full time (40 hrs.) and one part time (20 hrs.) This is an on-site role for a Maintenance Technician located in Covington, LA. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing equipment maintenance and repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and overseeing general industrial maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include ensuring all club facilities and equipment are in excellent working condition to provide a safe and outstanding experience for our members.
Responsibilities:
Identifying and troubleshooting facility and fitness equipment repair on a daily basis
Providing regular upkeep and maintenance of all club property
Maintaining knowledge of facilities and following through on preventative maintenance standards
Have working knowledge in one or all of the following: roofing, mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry, and/or painting
Are able to identify and trouble shoot facility and equipment related issues
Are self-directed requiring little supervision
Possess a sense of urgency and are able to meet deadlines
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely
Troubleshoots equipment problems within the Club.
Performs preventative maintenance routines as designated by the Maintenance Manager/Planner.
Assists with new equipment installation and startup.
Promotes an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork within the department and the company.
Responsible for the completion of daily checks/duties in the Club.
Responsible for preventative maintenance/break-fix for all building components and equipment.
Covers rotating shifts on an "as needed" basis.
Will assist with periodic reviews of the preventative maintenance schedules.
Occasional nighttime and weekend coverage.
