Maintenance Technician

Full Time 10 am - 6 pm shift Summary: Maintain the general cleanliness and repair of The Guild School facilities, grounds, equipment and vehicles under the direction/supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor Primary Job Responsibilities: Be prepared to handle emergency breakdowns, for example, plumbing or heating failures, etc. Maintain neat and orderly supply rooms Keep supply inventory records Perform minor repairs, as directed, for example, broken windows, doors and equipment; painting, grounds keeping and minor carpentry work as directed by the Director of Facilities and Equipment; maintain the cleanliness and safe operational capacity of Guild vehicles and equipment. Ability to appropriately use small tools and equipment Essential Job Functions: Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job including some weekends, holidays and inclement weather situations Proficiency in written and spoken English is an essential function of the job. Physically able to perform lifting and related tasks required of the position Qualifications Qualifications Training and experience is general custodial maintenance duties Interest in and ability to relate positively with multiple-handicapped adolescents in school setting.
