Job Overview:
Hello We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for the upkeep and repair of our facilities and equipment. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance:
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, machinery, and equipment (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Replace or repair worn-out components to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or structural issues and implement corrective actions.
- Repair or replace faulty equipment, including motors, belts, pumps, HVAC systems, electrical panels, and other facility infrastructure.
- Facility Upkeep:
- Ensure that facilities are clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Perform minor carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs as needed.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all repairs and installations meet local and federal safety codes and building standards.
- Follow all safety protocols when handling tools, machinery, and hazardous materials.
- Equipment Monitoring and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain logs of work orders, completed tasks, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Track parts and supplies inventory to ensure availability for future repairs.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other team members, supervisors, and contractors to ensure smooth facility operations.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance needs and project status updates.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields (preferred).
- Experience:
- Proven experience in maintenance, facility management, or a similar role (1-3 years preferred).
- Familiarity with basic tools, equipment, and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
- Stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated building systems.
- Familiarity with building management systems (BMS).
- Certification or licensing in specialized areas such as HVAC, electrical work, or plumbing.
Work Environment:
- May involve exposure to loud noises, heights, and hazardous materials.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, may be required.
