As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician who shares our passion for the restaurant industry and is eager to grow with us.


The Maintenance Technician will be working in partnership with restaurant operations, General Managers and other Burgermaster Team Members to ensure the restaurants' equipment and building supports smooth operations for customers and team member alike. In addition to the buildings and equipment, the Maintenance Technician will work alongside other maintenance team members to ensure the grounds meet the Burgermaster standards, which includes the maintenance of our gardens.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Basic knowledge of all trades- carpentry, tiling, painting, drywalling, light plumbing, irrigation, and electrical
  • Comfortable driving trucks with various trailers
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Can prioritize work to accomplish the most important tasks first
  • Utilize basic hand and power tools to complete projects
  • Building maintenance including internal building, appliances, grounds repairs, etc.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations
  • Comfortable working with technology which includes, but is not limited to ticketing system, tablet/ipad, Microsoft operating system, email, etc.
  • On-call requirements for repairs
  • Clean driving record
  • Works with General Manager and staff
  • Snowplow usage and snow removal
  • Other duties as assigned

Projects include, but are not limited to:

  • Basic paint job
  • Building a Pergola
  • Holiday setup and takedown
  • Demo, framing, and other jobs relating to full building remodel
  • Helping our gardening team put in new plants
  • Fixing restaurant appliances and equipment

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred
  • Working knowledge in repairing appliances and/or HVAC a plus
  • Forklift operation experience a plus

Work Environment

  • Prolonged periods standing, walking, and working around kitchen equipment
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds at times.
  • Must be comfortable working long hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Noise level is usually moderate

Hourly, non-exempt

$25-$35 per hour
