A global leader in energy management and automation is actively seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is 100% onsite, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm located in Athens, Texas so local candidates are a must. It is a 6-month CT and the candidate must be available 24/7 for potential after hours support/ emergency call out.

Required Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, including conveyor systems, industrial wrappers, building maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills, with experience in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for industrial maintenance.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams, manuals, and blueprints.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including standing, walking, and climbing ladders.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours (3 shifts operations / 24 hours), including potential overtime and emergency callouts.

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on conveyor systems and industrial wrappers.
  • Identify and replace faulty components, including belts, bearings, motors, PLC, and sensors.

  • Complete general building repairs, including lighting, plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical work.
  • Maintain safety standards and adhere to building codes and regulations.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules across all relevant systems and equipment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
