We are growing and looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our West Jordan production team. As a Maintenance Technician II, you will perform mechanical, electrical, and basic PLC troubleshooting on a variety of manufacturing and packaging equipment. You'll help ensure uptime, quality, and safety in a fast-paced food production environment. This position requires a "whatever it takes" attitude and the ability to work independently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) on production equipment, packaging lines, ovens, and mixers.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and basic automation issues.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs (input/output checks, fault clearing, minor program adjustments).
  • Work with sensors, VFDs, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and other plant systems.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Document maintenance activities accurately in maintenance management systems.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment according to GMP and food safety standards.
  • Support installation of new equipment and assist with equipment upgrades.
  • Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to improve equipment reliability.
  • Assist with root cause analysis for recurring problems and suggest improvements.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing a plus).
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills - conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience - 24VDC, 120/480VAC, 3-phase systems.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience - Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred (basic program adjustments are a bonus).
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for long shifts.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is highly preferred.

Work Hours:

  • Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 3 pm (overtime as needed).

Compensation:
