Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Hopewell, VA

Pay: $21/hour

Experience: Previous maintenance experience.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

Job Description:

• Performs general maintenance and repairs to buildings, including replacing roofing materials, broken glass, and light bulbs; repairing plumbing, lighting, windows, and fixtures; laying tile; painting; and completing minor electrical, mechanical, and carpentry work.
• Cleans and prepares vacant units for new occupancy.
• Maintains exterior grounds and park areas, including fences and outdoor structures.
• Loads, unloads, cleans, and performs minor repairs on maintenance equipment.
• Assists with the removal, disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of appliances, housing components, and mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Reads and records utility meter data.
• Performs basic building modifications such as installing drywall, doors, and partitions, including simple electrical wiring.
• Maintains accurate inventory of tools, materials, and supplies.
• Responds to after-hours emergency maintenance calls.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

• Strong plumbing, HVAC, and electrical skills.
• Experience performing unit turnovers.
