Maintenance Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $22-28/hr to start.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
Maintenance Technician Highlights
Hours are Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm
This position is a contract assignment to start and we are looking to make this position a permanent hire.
- Must be willing to work overtime and be available for occasional weekend shifts
- On-call availability during non-maintenance hours may be required

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical production equipment to minimize downtime
- Participate in leadership and compliance meetings to uphold safety and quality standards
- Coordinate with production and leadership teams to ensure timely shipping and production flow
- Use DSM-approved systems (e.g., Fiix, Unite-X) to document maintenance tasks and permit compliance
- Enforce and uphold DSM SHE, FAMI-QS, ISO 9001, OSHA, and other relevant safety and quality standards
- Train and mentor production staff on basic equipment maintenance
- Communicate with vendors for repairs, equipment, and raw materials
- Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure the plant is in working condition and ready for day-to-day operations
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Trade certification preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in maintenance, preferably in a Feed Mill or Premix production environment
- Strong knowledge in mechanical, electrical, operational, and welding systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain blend plant equipment
- Solid understanding of OSHA, FAMI-QS, ISO 9001, and regulatory standards
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Familiarity with weights and measurement systems
- Proficient in computer systems and computer-controlled equipment
