Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Maintenance Technician for their Oxford PA location. There are multiple shifts available (1st or 2nd), compensation will vary based on shift.
For 70 years, this company has grown from a single plant location to a specialty lumber/wood production treater, with 10 manufacturing plants and a network of stocking distributors nationwide. They are fast growing and offer plenty of room for career growth and upward mobility.
Compensation: $22.00-35.00/hour (day shift); night shift receives $2.00/hour shift differential
Shifts: 1st Shift- 6:00AM-4:30PM
2nd Shift- 4:00PM-2:30AM
What You Will Do:
- Responsible for maintaining all machinery and equipment (to include mechanical and electrical components) in working order while maintaining environmental and safety compliance.
- Maintain mechanical equipment (chemical transfer pumps, vacuum pumps, valves, conveyors, hydraulic units, burners, mobile equipment, etc.) and electrical equipment (breaker boxes, power supplies, sensors, and lighting, etc.)
- Complete work orders for issues with equipment; offer prompt response to operational downtime.
- Maintain and follow preventative maintenance programs with accurate record keeping.
- Install new equipment including running new electrical wire and/or piping as directed; will work with motors, pumps, bearings, and chains.
- Troubleshoot operational problems and work with engineers as directed.
- Proactively detect, diagnose and repair potential issues using PM and inspection tools.
- Keep shop area clean and compliant with all safety programs.
Education and Work Experience:
- At least 4 years of US Military experience required (mechanical/electrical MOS)
- 2+ years experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance required; ability to perform cutting, grinding and welding activities
- Knowledge of Bearings, Motors, Gear boxes, Hydraulic systems, Sprockets, Pumps, and Pneumatic systems; able to identify worn parts and knowledge of how to replace them.
