Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at a large sawmill operation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all plant equipment by performing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions using a combination of technical expertise and diagnostic tools, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Apply electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles to identify issues and restore equipment to full functionality.
  • Repair and maintain complex machinery, including programmable controls, power supplies, drives, gauges, and testing equipment.
  • Collaborate with production operators and other personnel to resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain detailed maintenance records.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: 2-year degree or certification in electrical, electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in electrical, welding, or mechanical work is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with all levels of personnel.
  • Strong communication skills, especially when working with line operators for troubleshooting support.
  • Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and respond to emergencies as needed.
