QSR Maintenance Technician Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing essential kitchen equipment, including grills, soft-serve machines, fryers, and other appliances, ensuring they operate efficiently to support daily restaurant operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and experienced in working with commercial kitchen equipment, preferably McDonaldu2019s or a similar QSR. Key Responsibilities: - Diagnose and repair various quick-service restaurant equipment such as grills, fryers, soft-serve machines, ovens, and refrigeration systems. - Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment. - Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues with equipment and provide effective solutions. - Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations when repairing or servicing equipment. - Maintain accurate service records, including work orders and inventory of parts used. - Respond promptly to emergency repair calls to minimize disruption to restaurant operations. - Collaborate with restaurant staff and management to identify and address equipment concerns. - Provide recommendations for equipment replacement or upgrades when necessary. - Stay updated on new equipment technologies and maintenance practices. - Complete and maintain all required training certifications. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a restaurant equipment technician or in a related field (HVAC, electrical, or appliance repair preferred). - Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, including troubleshooting techniques. - Familiarity with electrical systems, mechanical systems, and refrigeration principles. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication skills to explain repair needs and solutions to restaurant staff. - Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. - Valid US driveru2019s license and reliable transportation Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. - Comfortable working in confined spaces and around hot equipment. - Ability to stand, crouch, and climb ladders for extended periods. - Must have open availability. Preferred Qualifications: - Certification in HVAC, electrical, or refrigeration repair. - Experience working with specific brands or models of QSR equipment. - Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the food service industry.
