Required Skills & Experience


  • 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead technician role.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems (PLC, sensors, motors).
  • Proficient in CMMS software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment as needed.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, optimizing equipment reliability, and driving improvement projects.
  • High initiative and proactive approach with a focus on driving efficiency and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field preferred.

Job Description

The Equipment Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance team responsible for ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and reliability of equipment used in solar cell manufacturing. This role involves supervising preventive and corrective maintenance activities, coordinating equipment repairs, and driving continuous improvement in equipment reliability and safety.


Responsibilities


  • Supervise daily activities of maintenance technicians, ensuring timely and effective maintenance of all production equipment.
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues related to automation, robotics, vacuum systems, furnaces, and wet benches.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to support process improvements and equipment upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, spare parts inventory, and equipment service history using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices, troubleshooting, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to address equipment failures.
  • Assist with capital projects, including equipment installations, relocations, and commissioning.
  • Monitor KPIs such as MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and PM compliance rates.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance team and the broader organization. Encourage and lead initiatives for process improvements, enhanced equipment reliability, increased efficiency, and reduced downtime.


Annual Compensation:

$75,000 to $85,000

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
