Position Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations during the assigned shift. This role ensures that all maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company environmental, health, safety, and quality standards. Acting as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related concerns, the supervisor coordinates team activities, resolves equipment issues, and ensures accurate and timely documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead maintenance personnel, ensuring a strong floor presence and adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings and safety toolbox talks to maintain awareness and reinforce compliance.
  • Facilitate effective shift handovers by leading pass-down meetings and ensuring clear communication of equipment status and outstanding tasks.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all maintenance-related issues and downtime reporting during the shift.
  • Assign daily tasks and schedules to maintenance technicians based on operational priorities and equipment needs.
  • Assist with complex troubleshooting, disassembly, and reassembly of production equipment and systems.
  • Identify and source spare parts from inventory systems, equipment manuals, or original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Create and manage part requisitions and maintain inventory levels using procurement systems.
  • Ensure accurate completion of work orders, preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, and parts usage documentation in the maintenance management system.
  • Maintain a comprehensive log of equipment downtime, pending repairs, and issues requiring future attention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain to prioritize and address maintenance concerns.
  • Follow standard escalation procedures for critical equipment failures and safety-related incidents.
  • Support technician training and continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
