The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance and repair activities of equipment, machinery, and facilities within the organization. Their primary responsibility will be ensuring that all systems and equipment operate efficiently, safely, and without interruption, while leading a team.

Description


  • Inventory management: Ensuring that maintenance supplies (e.g., tools, parts, lubricants) are stocked and ordering replacements when necessary.
  • Coordinating with other departments: They work closely with other departments, like operations or production teams, to ensure maintenance does not disrupt work flow or cause delays in production.
  • Budgeting and cost control: Supervising the maintenance budget, ensuring that repairs are done efficiently and cost-effectively, and keeping track of expenses.
  • Developing maintenance schedules: Creating and maintaining regular schedules for preventive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns.
  • Identifying and fixing problems: Troubleshooting issues with machinery, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment. If an issue arises, the supervisor must determine the cause and oversee or directly perform the necessary repairs.
  • Ensuring safety: Conducting safety inspections and audits to ensure equipment is safe to use, and the work environment complies with safety regulations.
  • Managing a team: The supervisor leads a team of maintenance workers and technicians, assigning tasks, setting schedules, and ensuring they are performed on time.
  • Training and mentoring: They provide training on proper maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and the use of tools and equipment. They may also offer guidance and support to improve skills and performance.

Profile

The successful candidate will 5-7+ years of electrical experience and 5+ years of plastic injection molding experience. Additionally, they will have experience leading a team cross functionally, and within mechanical hydraulics.
