The Maintenance Supervisor directs and works with the daily/shift activities of Maintenance personnel and reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities will include the coordination of electrical and mechanical maintenance within the facility. This position is expected to be a working/hands on supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Included, but not limited to):

The maintenance supervisor is expected verify the daily pass down from crew to crew, setting up the leads with work that will be getting done during the worked hours based off of the planning PM spreadsheet put together by the planner.
Coordinate Maintenance Employees work schedule to ensure that adequate maintenance coverage is achieved at all times for continuous production.
Continually work to provide and maintain safe working environment for all employees.
Assist in implementing and maintaining an effective Preventative Maintenance Program.
Coordinate all maintenance purchase requisitions within budget limits.
Organize and prioritize maintenance activities, such as repairs, scheduled maintenance and plant upgrade projects and ensure their completion in a timely manner.
Maintain all maintenance related documents, such as manuals, drawings, work orders, PMs, etc.
Help develop departmental budget and operate within budget limits.
Make recommendations as to hiring, firing, advancement, promotions or other change of status regarding Department employees. In situations where you have concerns related to the employees performance, you are responsible for developing and implementing a performance improvement plan (PIP). This process precedes, and hopefully negates the need for, progressive discipline.
Responsible to ensure that we are following the correct scheduling of PMs to ensure company compliance.
Maintain adherence to Company Policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices. Enforce departmental rules and procedures.
You are expected to hold your personnel accountable for their performance within the maintenance department, to include Coaching and developmental training plans for all maintenance technicians.
Responsibilities include leading safety training and ensuring prompt resolution of facility safety issues with the facility.
PM pre-meeting/execution/post follow-up to include machine startup and verification prior to leaving at the end of the day.
Prioritizing and dispensing work orders thru the leads on each shift for work order completion.
Qualification and Skill Requirements:

Prior Maintenance supervision required
2 years technical training and/or 2 years experience in related industry, or 5 years related industry experience.
Effective communication skills.
Effective problem-solving ability, both electrical and mechanical.
Excellent leadership skills.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including mandatory overtime and off-shifts.
