Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance staff, including maintenance supervisors, technicians and contractors onsite.
• Hire, train and evaluate maintenance/reliability supervisors and maintenance staff.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime, improve equipment efficiency and extend equipment lifespan
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs
• Oversee the repairs of the building, equipment and systems.
• Assist with developing and managing the maintenance budget and schedules.
• Oversee the parts room and ensure correct inventory control measures are in place to minimize equipment downtime.
• Responsible for the accuracy of equipment and spare parts in the CMMS (Manager +), to ensure all equipment is in the system with the correct PM's and spare parts are available.
• Work alongside other departments to ensure equipment is running correctly and meeting all safety and food safety requirements.
• Ensure the maintenance department is following all GMP's and facility safety requirements.
• Assist with developing maintenance KPI's and driving the team to achieve desired goals and performance.
• Perform annual evaluations on all maintenance supervisors, technicians and parts team.
• Participate in RCA events to help develop long term corrective actions for events to prevent future reoccurrence.
• Perform yearly parts utilization review of all spare parts
• Develop and modify equipment PM's and maintenance job plans in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
• Perform asset walk downs as needed to verify all equipment is in the CMMS
• Conduct PM optimization exercises to ensure the maintenance teams PMs are planned properly, being performed on a routine schedule and are value added PM's.
• Track and trend equipment performance to identify bad actors and conduct RCAs to identify root cause of downtime and develop correct actions to prevent and eliminate repetitive downtime.
• Work with operations and maintenance to conduct and plan equipment training.
• Work with contractors and vendors on routine equipment rebuilds and service.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree preferred; but not required
• 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance environment; meat/food industry preferred
• Experience in a CMMS system; Manager + preferred
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and practices.
• Experience managing a team and parts room responsibilities.
• Versed in all Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time in various conditions and temperatures.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
