SUMMARY:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Works closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure the mission, vision, and a set of measurable objectives are achieved for the Maintenance Department.
- Works with the Maintenance teams (Buyer, Maintenance Clerk, Planner and Maintenance Manager/Supervisor) to accomplish long- and short-term maintenance plans
- Verify all purchasing for the Maintenance department to efficiently meet quality standards and production daily requirements.
- Ensure all materials and supplies needed for daily production operation are available in stock.
- Properly maintains the COGZ system updated to control and enter all incoming and outgoing materials of the partsroom.
- Maintain computer files of all parts by proper item number, location and account number, and ensure that parts are stored in the proper location.
- Ensure that all parts entering or returned to the stock are in good working condition prior to being added to inventory.
- Monitor fast moving parts and visually inspect that there is min and max quantity of part in bin. Make adjustments to reconcile any discrepancies.
- Works closely with area maintenance mechanics to keep current with maintenance projects and equipment changes. So, parts room levels match equipment requirements for critical spare parts.
- Create labels and post part numbers on all the bins.
- Establish minimum and maximum stock levels to the lowest possible amount without jeopardizing ability of plant to run.
- Obtain copies of all purchase orders and parts packing slips for verification of items purchased as required, utilizing COGZ computer system.
- Review parts manuals, catalogs, etc. for part numbers, nomenclature and/or dimension information to order parts.
- Notify requester upon receipt of parts requested as soon as possible.
- Performs monthly cycle counts to report, review and correct any discrepancies with the team.
- Process return forms for pick ups and make signed copies for the team. Note "Return" on packing list.
- Issues copy of PO for parts receipts for the received items for the team.
- Works closely with accounts payable to ensure an efficient invoice process and parts/services payments.
- Follow through for parts on back orders and complete pending PO.
- Ensure getting credit for parts returned, damaged and/or missing.
- Ensure all parts obtained from the parts room are properly documented in order to avoid discrepancies during cycle counts.
- Signed out parts are to be balance from stock throughout COGZ.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Managers.
General Duties: Supports production, utilities and facility equipment with critical parts and tools, as required. May include any of the following areas listed below:
- Provides support in inspecting equipment for wear to replace/repair prior to failure.
- Promptly provides support to attend a breakdown or malfunction ae required.
- Supports maintenance and repair of forklifts as required.
- Supports training of current and new maintenance team as needed.
- Works with the maintenance buyer to meet department objectives.
Other Duties: - Responsible for performing job tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Identifies areas for improvement of efficiency
- Reports the status of activities in a written and verbal manner on a daily basis.
- Ensures that a good working relationship with other areas and the entire maintenance team is maintained.
- Identifies areas for improvement of efficiency.
- Maintain and clean all part bins at all times.
- Operate industrial forklifts, pallet jacks, pick up trucks, and other company vehicles, as required.
- Provides support to other areas when required.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices. Includes use of appropriate PPE.
- Attend all employee trainings and meetings.
