Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: West Deptford, NJ 08066
Schedule: 1st shift starting at 5am-1:30pm, Sunday - Thursday
Salary: Contract-to-hire, $30-34/hr
Description:
The Maintenance Mechanic will perform a variety of semi-skilled and/or skilled tasks in maintenance and repair of facilities equipment. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic is a middle level position that maintains the facility and equipment to a safe, high efficiency and quality level and contributes to the sites overall strategic direction.
Responsibilities:
- Overall upkeep of the facility, including but not limited to:
- Electrical repairs
- Plumbing repairs
- Loading dock equipment
- Office and break room areas
- Forklift batteries
- Cleaning, watering, minor repair
- Waste management equipment
- Production equipment
- General warehouse management
- Interior and exterior maintenance
- Welding as needed
- Compressed air system
- Wastewater equipment maintenance
- Refrigeration system repairs and maintenance
- Other duties and repairs as required.
Other Responsibilities:
- Input of Work Orders
- Manage Requests from management and work order creation
- Manage and complete PMs as assigned
- Life safety test and inspections
- Comply with all food safety requirements and responsibilities.
- On-call for emergencies as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED; technical school a plus
- Mechanically inclined.
- Two years of relevant experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to perform semi-skilled and skilled maintenance, construction, and repair work in the area of work assigned.
- Ability to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, cold temperature environment.
- Experience with commercial HVAC a plus
- Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedures.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
