We are partnering with a great company in Glastonbury, CT to find a skilled Maintenance Mechanic.
This is a Full time direct hire position with full benefits, day shift M-F,
This role requires a strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical systems. You will work on the plant facility, electrical, mechanical and electronic repairs.
The Maintenance Mechanic will play a crucial role in maintaining safety standards and minimizing downtime.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct repairs as necessary.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and ammeters, to assess equipment performance.
- Analyze schematics to understand electrical systems and high voltage components.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Skills
- +5 or more years' experience in dealing with maintenance in a similar environment or equivalent education.
- Experience in Electronics, Electrical repairs, Industrial Equipment installations, alignment, start-up repairs, cranes, etc
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and basic wiring (480 V through control voltage, basic PLC knowledge, relays, starters etc.)Proficiency in using voltmeters, ohmmeters, ammeters, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of high voltage systems and the ability to work safely around them.
