We are currently seeking an experienced Permanent Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated self-starter to showcase their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be a key part of our maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our machinery and equipment. This position requires a strong understanding and hands-on experience with Pneumatics, Electrical Troubleshooting, and Boilers.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Maintenance Mechanic, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to the success of our operations. These will include:

1. Conducting regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and rectify any potential issues before they escalate.
2. Performing preventative maintenance tasks to keep our machinery and equipment running at optimal efficiency.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing any mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues that arise.
4. Maintaining and repairing boilers, ensuring they are operating safely and efficiently.
5. Working closely with other team members to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
6. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
7. Keeping detailed records of all maintenance and repair work carried out.
8. Staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies in the field of maintenance and repair.

Qualifications

To be considered for the role of Permanent Maintenance Mechanic, candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
2. Proven experience working with Pneumatics, Electrical Troubleshooting, and Boilers.
3. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and machinery.
5. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols and procedures.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels.
8. The ability to maintain detailed and accurate records of all work carried out.
9. A relevant trade qualification or certification would be highly regarded.
