Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Douglas, GA

This position is a Night Shift schedule.

We're looking for a passionate individual to fill our maintenance mechanic role and to join 1 of our 12 locations located in Douglas, Georgia where we work together to continuously improve the bottled water industry.

What you'll be working on

• Conducts maintenance on distillers, i.e., oil changes, blows out airlines, cleans and tightens belts, etc.

• Maintains safe and clean workshop, follows safety guidelines.

• Tracks all performed equipment maintenance in logs.

• Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment.

• Performs all repair tasks necessary to keep bottling lines operating efficiently

• Performs all bottling line changeovers.

• Troubleshoots all production equipment

• Repair and maintenance of equipment and building.

• Responsible for mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs on all factory equipment.

• Assist with changeovers on all equipment.

• Troubleshoot set up, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems

• Performs/assist preventive maintenance on all equipment.

About you - preferred requirements for this role

• High School diploma or equivalent

• 2 years previous experience, including welding, electrical troubleshooting, and performing PMs on equipment

• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills are required

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills

• Knowledge of the blow/injection molding processes, procedures, and machinery.

• Capable of using a multimeter

• Must have tools

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years previous experience is a plus
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills are required
  • Computer experience is required - strong Excel knowledge
Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Mechanic tends to production machines such as filler, packaging, cappers, labeler, and palletizers used for bottling water. This position will perform trouble shooting and repairs to equipment as needed.

GMP & PPE Required:

While on the production floor in the plant you will be required to follow and help to enforce all GMP regulations in the plant. Anyone entering the production floor must follow the GMP rules in their employee handbook, which includes the required hairnets, beard nets, and earplugs. It is also required that all personnel wear safety glasses. Follows standard operating procedures including quality checks and procedures for all operations. Meets food safety and quality objectives and
the requirements of the SQF System.
