We are working with a well-established manufacturing organization that is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance operations for a high-volume production facility. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, team leadership, and strategic foresight to ensure machinery, infrastructure, and systems operate safely and efficiently.

This is not an office-based role - the ideal candidate is hands-on, floor-engaged, and comfortable taking ownership of plant-wide maintenance. The position requires 24/7 on-call responsibility and the ability to manage both preventative planning and urgent repairs.

Description



Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and functionality of all plant machinery, infrastructure, and grounds.

  • Lead compliance with all safety, fire, and environmental codes and regulations (state and federal).

  • Develop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs.

  • Maintain building security systems and emergency response capabilities.

  • Manage a team of technicians and support staff to ensure optimal team performance and equipment uptime.

  • Coordinate and lead capital improvement projects, equipment installations, and upgrades.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and budgeting for maintenance operations.

Profile



Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or Operations Management.

  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

  • Preferred certifications:

    • Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM), CMRP

    • Six Sigma (Green Belt)

    • PMP (Project Management Professional)



Experience

  • 5-10 years in plant or industrial maintenance, including 3-5 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong hands-on background with:

    • Mechanical systems (machinery, conveyors, HVAC)

    • Electrical systems (motors, PLCs, automation)

    • Maintenance planning (preventive/predictive)

    • CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo, EAM)

    • Emergency maintenance and safety compliance



Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

  • Excellent project and time management skills.

  • Clear communication with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

  • Understanding of OSHA, EPA, and ISO compliance standards.
