Job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the oversight of all day-to-day maintenance and perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production equipment and the plant facility's equipment. They must implement work efficiency standards and maintain through sustaining behaviors, instilling root cause analysis in the team. You will perform a wide variety of duties to plan, organize, and coordinate all aspects of maintenance and directly oversee the maintenance supervisors and technicians in supporting a safe and efficient operation to produce wholesome quality products.


Essential Functions (These are not intended to be all inclusive and are subject to changes):

  • Must adhere to the following policies: Employee Safety, Food Safety and all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
  • Ensure manufacturing and food processing is operating at a World Class level for plant operations, process control, food safety, personal safety and as well as develop bench strength that will allow for further expansion
  • Create maintenance schedule and make changes base on the production necessities.
  • Train and demonstrate procedures to all reporting employees.
  • Monitor employees work levels and review work performance.
  • Counsel employees about work- related issues and assist employees to correct job skills deficiencies.
  • Create safety trainings and SOP's such as LOTO, Equipment startups etc.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Create Systems and continuous improvement procedures for maintenance employees.
  • Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, and blueprints to perform maintenance and service activities.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
  • Manage the MVP work order system and follow up on work completed to ensure proper maintenance
  • Provide emergency & unscheduled repairs of production equipment during and/or after production
  • Run projects including sourcing of equipment, ordering, receiving, installation, training on operation and cleaning and ongoing maintenance to include spare part inventory. Able to work with all departments and coordinate all contractor projects.
  • Manage the current or create incoming PM's programs on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Maintains proper inventory levels.
  • Keep all the maintenance binders and documentations updated.
  • Must have multitask skills & be highly motivated and able to work independently,
  • Perform on-call responsibilities as required.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years maintenance manager experience
  • Experience in maintenance of a large Food Manufacturing Operation
  • Preferred specific training in maintenance related field relating to mechanical, electrical, fabrication and industrial maintenance.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing
  • Experience in building and developing high performing teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Skilled in change management and process development
  • Financial skills and understanding
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays in a cold wet and warm environment
