Job Description:
As the top maintenance leader in the organization, you will be part of the SME Group (Subject Matter Experts) and work with and through the Business Unit Leader's staff to provide operational excellence in all maintenance and equipment activities. You will recommend, develop, and implement appropriate programs, activities, and training, leading to a culture of non-negotiable safety and health behaviors by the maintenance group. You will take current practices and create a systemic approach to tactical activities such as: Reactive Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance (including advanced technical approaches like thermography, ultrasonic, and vibration analyses), Labor Scheduling, Team Development, and Project Management.
Responsibilities:
- Establish, maintain, and measure maintenance performance (as a whole) against agreed upon Key Performance Indicators
- Collaborate with Business Unit Leaders to provide meaningful appraisals and feedback of and to the maintenance staff
- Manage Skill Levels program for the maintenance staff, revising as needed to align needed skills to the business needs
- Periodic evaluation of business needs verses the maintenance plan, and pivoting as needed to make proper resources available
- Participate in the budgeting process to set achievable financial goals for both personnel and equipment (parts/supplies)
- Responsibility of maintenance budget with expectation of compliance to financial expectations
- Selection, approval, and oversight of maintenance related vendors
- Oversee the critical spare program - identification of spares; storage; replenishment/replacement; etc.
- First round maintenance purchase order approval
- Subject matter expert for all maintenance activities. This includes direct involvement and inspection of root cause and resolution of reactive and preventive maintenance activities.
- Sharing your knowledge and expertise to improve the maintenance and production staff, as measured as a function of equipment uptime
- Direct reporting and oversight of Maintenance Coordinators
- Responsible for computerized maintenance management system
- Maintaining and improvement of the CMMS
- Use of the CMMS to set priorities for maintenance personnel and communication of said priorities
- Accounting of all maintenance related work in the CMMS
- Responsibility areas: Reading campus facilities, equipment, and grounds / East Greenville campus facilities, equipment, and grounds / Satellite warehouse facilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Alternatively, five years of relative experience in Maintenance Leadership.
- Willingness to work as part of a collaborative team, promoting trust and respect.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including proficiency in Office Suite applications.
- Willingness to accept the demands of a twenty-four, seven manufacturing operation
- Ability to multitask and establish priorities in an environment of competing expectations.
- Willingness to continue education and personal development for the purposes of staying up to date with industry, technology, and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in developing maintenance staff and personnel.
- Ability to analyze data, look for trends, and draw conclusions for said data
