A client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to be a part of their new Dairy Production Plant. This person will be a part of opening a cutting edge facility that is on track to be the largest dairy production facility in the United States. This is an exciting opportunity to be a member of the Pasco plant's founding team.


The Pasco Team Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance function and will be a partner within the Operations division. The manager's role will cover both staffing and fiscal responsibilities and functions. Essential duties are as follows:

  • Manage the plant's maintenance staff (plant operates 24/7)
  • Provides on and off hour emergency response including equipment repair, damage control and personnel assignments
  • Administers the budget of the department and established guidelines. Oversees new capital expenditure items including equipment purchases, contracted labor, and in house construction and fabrication projects
  • Develop and deliver on maintenance programs (emphasis towards OEE based performance)
  • Oversee utilities within the plant including steam generation, power distribution, chillers, glycol heating and cooling, cooling towers, domestic tempered water, plant HVAC systems, water distribution systems, fire suppression and more
  • Utilize continuous improvement tools to improve plant reliability including defect handling, CIL (clean inspect lubricate) and breakdown analysis

Must Haves:

  • Experience in dairy or food processing required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in all phases of maintenance and repair to include mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, building maintenance, wastewater treatment, boiler operations, maintenance and refrigeration
  • Experience with CMMS software
  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining process control software
  • Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team in continuous improvement activities
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational and project management skills
  • BS in Engineering or related field OR an Associate's degree in a technical field combined with leadership experience and food or dairy processing experience
  • 5 to 7 years combined experience in plant maintenance or engineering with 3 minimum years in a leadership experience
  • Experience with process control systems, PLCs, instrumentation and automation
  • PC literate

Nice to Haves

  • Drying Operations Experience
  • Butter, milk powder production, dairy processing or consumer packaging experience
  • Complete understanding of computer driven process controls for dairy manufacturing facilities preferred
