A manufacturing site is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations. This is a practical, hands-on role focused on keeping building systems running safely and efficiently while managing a small team and working closely with other departments.
You'll be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, supporting site operations, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor building systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) to ensure functionality
- Lead and support maintenance staff; coordinate shift and safety meetings
- Track and minimize downtime; manage materials and create purchase requisitions
- Oversee preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, and minor capital improvements
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards (ISO, IATF, EMS)
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance planning for team members
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in facilities or maintenance management
- B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and maintenance software (e.g., QAD)
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is an advantage
- English required; Spanish language skills are a plus
