Summary

Responsible for controlling the total maintenance of the facility including the building, grounds and all equipment. Conducting analysis of maintenance cost, performance measurements and continuous improvement efforts. Developing & operating within budget constraints. Training and development of personnel assigned.


Duties:

  • Develop and implement business plan objectives in support of our strategic plan. Responsible for meeting or exceeding the goals in short / long-term business plan.
  • Provide subordinate objectives to support the business plan and develop personnel assigned.
  • Directly responsible for developing / maintaining a preventive and corrective maintenance program within the confines of an annual budget. This includes all heating, air conditioning, as well as maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
  • Will work closely with other managers in problem solving, equipment selection / modifications, etc.
  • Responsible for providing a safe working environment. Ensure OSHA standards are met or exceeded.
  • Develop / maintain the maintenance library to include all technical data, drawings, records and contacts.
  • Directly responsible for the preparation of an annual budget and operating within that budget with regard to the expenses for production supplies, operating supplies.
  • Directly responsible to ensure maintenance practices and policies meet or exceed IATF standards.
  • Develop key metrics to monitor and evaluate maintenance / facility performance in areas such as utilities, equipment down time, equipment efficiencies, maintenance cost of equipment, etc. Develop strategies / plans to reduce cost and improve efficiencies.
  • Administer work orders, time sheets, and maintenance schedules.
  • Interview, select and hire maintenance personnel.
  • Conduct performance reviews and makes recommendations for salary adjustments.
  • Responsible for hazardous waste handling and disposal.
  • Provide training to new and existing employees.
  • Directly responsible for approving and monitoring sub-contracted maintenance contracts, performance, inspection results, and certifications.
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with preventive & corrective maintenance procedures, documentation and programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills
  • Computer literate with experience utilizing a maintenance management software program
  • Knowledge, understanding, and application of ISO14001 standards.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance / facility management
  • Technical degree in maintenance / maintenance management or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated experience with budget management

Preferred Requirements


  • Technical degree in maintenance management
  • Previous experience with MP2 maintenance management software
  • Demonstrated knowledge of automated assembly equipment
