Title: Maintenance Manager
Location: Grafton, OH (5 days onsite)
Schedule: M-F; 6 AM - 3 PM
Duration: Permanent
Must have:
- 10+ years of hands-on operations/maintenance experience with plant maintenance in a production environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or related field. Equivalent years of experience will be considered.
- Mechanical, instrumentation controls and/or electronics experience.
- Experienced in 24/7 operation. Available to assist and troubleshoot when problems arise at any time.
- Experienced with and comfortable working in an outdoor plant environment.
- Doesn't give up easily, hands-on, and able to get into the weeds with the team.
Nice to have:
- Experienced with Incineration or Hazardous Waste Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs)
- Experience with safety and environmental compliance as related to chemical operations including Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and OSHA.
- Background with Process Safety Management (PSM).
- Background with continuous chemical manufacturing. This is truly a 24/7 operation.
Day to day:
We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team at Ross Incineration Services. As a Maintenance Manager at a 24/7 waste processing facility, each day involves ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all plant maintenance and instrumentation, controls, and electronics (I/C/E) systems. The role requires daily oversight of preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance, coordinating closely with I/C/E staff to meet safety standards, OSHA and RCRA regulations, and production demands. A typical day includes supervising and training personnel, conducting maintenance inspections and audits, troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems, managing the CMMS, and supporting ongoing process improvements with engineering teams. The manager also ensures the timely execution of scheduled maintenance, maintains documentation for regulatory compliance, and coordinates plant shutdowns and emergency response readiness. With a strong focus on predictive maintenance and root cause analysis, the role involves both fieldwork and administrative duties, including budgeting, inventory control, reporting KPIs, and participating in safety and environmental management systems. This person will manage a team of 13 full time employees as well as any contractors and will report to the Plant Manager.
