Accentuate Staffing is assisting a growing manufacturer in the Zebulon area who is hiring a Maintenance Lead to join their team. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, the ability to oversee team members, and the ability to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain high operational standards. This is a direct hire opportunity working day shift Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the maintenance team to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, mechanical components, and electrical systems.
- Develop, implement, and monitor maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation enhancements.
- Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components while optimizing costs.
- Train and mentor team members to build technical expertise and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain maintenance documentation, including equipment records, maintenance logs, and technical manuals.
- Oversee compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized building maintenance and repair services.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have 5-10+ years of maintenance experience in a highly automated manufacturing facility.
- Candidates must have a strong knowledge maintaining and troubleshooting conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
- Candidates should have the ability to lead and develop a high-performing maintenance team.
- Candidates must be familiar troubleshooting PLCs.
- Relevant technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
- Candidates must have a continuous improvement mindset.

- Manage and lead the facilities and equipment maintenance program including total productive maintenance
- Approve maintenance work orders related to work performed by maintenance personnel and contractors
- Complete various maintenance and repair reports
- Provide primary maintenance support to production lines
- Developing and holding a staff of maintenance technicians and a maintenance supervisor accountable for safety and performance
- Coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas
- Monitor and analyze the maintenance reliability program performance
- Provided maintenance and mechanical engineering support to teams
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks to team members
- Provide strategic planning of long-term maintenance repairs
- Coordinate scheduling and overseeing duties of maintenance personnel
- Participate in development and maintenance of standard operating procedures
- Instill a Reliability based maintenance culture and practices
- Supervise a maintenance supervisor and 10 mechanics
- Develop and maintain corrective and preventative maintenance programs
