Recruit Right is partnering with a client in the building materials industry to find a Lead Maintenance Technician and a Maintenance Technician for its Hamden, CT location. These are full-time, not temp or contract roles, with excellent benefits.
The lead shift is noon - 8:30 PM, M-F with weekend and holiday availability.
The technician shift is 3 PM - 11:30 PM, M-F, with weekend and holiday availability.
As the Senior Maintenance Technician you will be providing expertise for preventative maintenance of plant equipment. The Senior Maintenance Technician will aid with equipment installation and start-up of equipment.
- Responsibilities: Performs routine preventative maintenance activities in support of organizational TPM on a variety of equipment
- Identifies areas for improvement to be incorporated in CMMS to increase machine reliability and output
- Aids in the optimization of maintenance resources to repair equipment to OEM standards
- Repairs facility and building items as needed
- Troubleshoots complex electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic problems on production and facility equipment
- Ensures all work performed is accurately logged into CMMS
- Ensures end of shift reports are completed to ensure strong communication between Maintenance and Production Departments
- Ensures adequate stock levels for repair parts
- Collaborates with cross-function departments to schedule downtime for repairs
- Requirements: High School Diploma/GED, required
- Associates Degree or Technical Certificate, preferred
- 5+ years of maintenance and repair experience in a manufacturing environment, required
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Bi-lingual (English / Spanish), preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical, required
