Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Food/ FMCG (MULTIPLE ROLES AVAILABLE)

We are working with a leading Food/FMCG manufacturing business that supplies high-quality products to major retailers and brands across the UK and internationally. Due to continued growth and investment, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to support production reliability and site development.
Maintenance Engineer Job Purpose:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring all machinery and equipment is maintained to the highest standards to support optimal production performance. You will carry out both reactive and planned maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and contribute to continuous improvement projects across the site.
Maintenance Engineer Key Responsibilities:
• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, fillers, mixers, and packaging machines.
• Respond to breakdowns efficiently to minimise production downtime.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with the site's maintenance schedule.
• Identify root causes of faults and implement permanent solutions.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery and technology.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance work using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).
• Comply with all site health & safety, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute ideas and solutions to enhance equipment reliability and site efficiency.
Maintenance Engineer Key Requirements:
• Time-served Engineer with an NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• All biased acceptable - mech, electrical or 50/50.
• Experience working in a Food Manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of PPM systems and continuous improvement principles (Lean, Kaizen, etc.).
• Flexible to work shifts and support site requirements when necessary.
