Maintenance Engineer - 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights)

£48,000 - £49,000 + Overtime + Medical + Pension + Career Development + Leading Brand Perks
Location: Caldicot, South Wales
Shifts: 4 on, 4 off - 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am

Strategic Location: Easily commutable from Newport, Cardiff, Chepstow, Avonmouth, Bristol & surrounding areas

The Opportunity:

  • Play a critical role in maintaining and optimising high-speed production lines across a fully automated plant.
  • Collaborate with an experienced engineering team focused on fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and operational excellence.
  • Be a key contributor to plant performance, driving reliability, safety and uptime.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across complex mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshooting faults on high-speed production and packaging equipment.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Reporting into senior engineers and contributing to cross-functional projects.

What We're Looking For:

  • Time-served Maintenance Engineer (NVQ Level 3 / C&G / Apprenticeship).
  • Proven background in FMCG, Utilities, Heavy Industry, Ex Forces, or similar.
  • Strong mechanical or electrical fault-finding experience.
  • Familiarity with PLCs and automated equipment is highly advantageous.
  • Shift-based work: 4 on / 4 off (2 days & 2 nights).
  • Driving licence and access to transport required.
