Our client is a well-known regional bakery with multiple retail stores throughout New York metro area. Due to growth, seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join and eventually lead the maintenance staff at the main plant/HQ. Primary duties include:
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on food production and packaging equipment.
- Assist with building maintenance and grounds keeping
- Ensure work spaces are safe in accordance with GMP, OSHA and SOP's
- Provide equipment and maintenance status to management as required
Position reports to Maintenance Manager.
Ideal candidates for Maintenance Engineer in New York will possess the following:
- Associates degree in electro-technology or similar, military (technical) training, and/or vocational/trade schooling
- 5+ years experience in a food production environment
- Understanding of LEAN 5S, GMP and OSHA
Salary range is $60-100k/yr (depending on experience). Standard benefits medical/dental/vision, 401k, FSA, etc.
