Scantec are working in partnership with a fantastic FMCG Food Manufacturer in North Manchester. We're seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer (Elec Bias).

Shifts:
This is working a 4on, 4off pattern. 7-7, 2x days, 2x nights.

Maintenance Engineer - Responsibilities:

  • Continuously develop knowledge of the engineering requirements of the site process systems and machinery.
  • Work as an active part of a skilled, cross-functional planned maintenance team.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene standards at all times.
  • Respond quickly and effectively, especially during breakdowns.
  • Diagnose faults promptly and implement corrective actions.
  • Support mechanical engineers with their duties.
  • Participate actively in a Continuous Improvement culture, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Assist in training fellow maintenance engineers, Operator-Technicians, and others as needed.
  • Complete planned maintenance work according to strict schedules and seek improvements to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Maintain good working practices throughout.
  • Work on various projects, including installation and modifications to plant and equipment.

Required skills and experience:

Ideally, you'll be an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with appropriate engineering qualifications. Experience within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment is essential. 17th / 18th edition wiring regulations are advantageous, and full training can be provided.
