Maintenance Engineer

Location: Kalamazoo, MI

Our local Kalamazoo client is seeking candidates for direct hire Maintenance Engineer to join their team. We're looking for a self-motivated individual to improve and maintain medical device production systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor equipment metrics (uptime, downtime, repair time) and report trends
Ensure equipment compliance with Quality Systems, SOPs, and regulations
Develop, test, and implement system design strategies and improvements
Lead equipment and process optimization efforts

Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience (10+ preferred)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Experience with automation systems (PLCs, sensors, etc.) a plus
preventative maintenance schedules based on machine OEM recommendations
Must be able to work after hours and weekends, as needed, to ensure production equipment is operational during normal business hours.
Experience with form, fill, seal machines, HVAC systems, pneumatic & hydraulic automation systems is a plus
CAD/SolidWorks experience a plus
Experience with Medical device manufacturing is a MUST
