Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer (Cut Off, LA) Duties: Perform on-site inspection and evaluation of vessel equipment, determine best means of repair/replacement, effect repairs in a safe and timely method. Provide oversight of suppliers and liaison between vessel crew and corporate offices. Requirements: 1 year of experience in vessel maintenance and repair, including some solid experience in: preventative maintenance; propulsion systems; hydraulic systems; steering systems; pumping systems; basic electrical systems; power generation systems; A/C systems; pneumatic systems; engine control systems; towing/winch systems; cargo handling systems; structural components; and deck equipment. Knowledge of testing, adjusting and servicing piping systems; gear boxes; drive mechanisms; pumps; compressors; turbines; motors. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
